Description

This route will take you from the beginning of the Trabuco trail head to Yeager Mesa. The Yeager Mesa trail is a fun single-track located off Bell Ridge in the Cleveland National Forest. This trail offers steep, loose technical descents with awesome scenery. When riding this trail, staying with the bike is the challenge. Several steep, loose and long chutes will challenge your riding skills while testing your courage.If you are not familiar with the area, accessing this trail is difficult. Please download the GPS data and use a GPS device to locate the Yeager Mesa trail-head. Bring plenty of water and expect to climb 3200 feet with several large hike-a-bike sections. Lots of poison oak on lower Trabuco and Yeager trails. Be sure to scrub down with Tecnu or similar products after finishing the ride. Knee/elbow pads also recommended.

Directions

From Hwy 5 exit Oso Parkway heading East. Turn left at Antonio Parkway, right at Santa Margarita Parkway, left at Plano Trabuco Road and right at Trabuco Creek road. Trabuco Creek road is a four mile dirt road with small rocks and ruts. Most vehicles will have no problem driving along this road but give yourself some extra time for the drive.
